Our Glassbot H-Series is a very high molecular density form of polyethylene. Like other synthetic materials, it is made in other forms beside long flexible line. Like bullet-proof vests! Polyethylene, by the way, is the most widely used plastic on the planet. Think 'plastic bags'. The very long chains of molecules are aligned which gives the material its very low stretch and high strength. In fact, the strength-to-weight ratio is more than 10 times better than steel. It actually stresses the adhesive to failure rather than cutting it.
I only offer the highest braid count filament for extra strength and abrasion resistance. It is also the very thinness profile to draw through the adhesive for the break strength.

I recommend the thinnest profile be selected for your needs as the larger / stronger you go, the thicker it is and this increases drag.
I package the H-Series on cardboard bobbins. I do this for a few reasons. One, eliminate plastic spools but most importantly, for use.
If you have ever dropped or handled a round spool of wire or filament you know what happens when you drop it. This doesn't happen with a flat bobbin.
I also package the bobbins with 50 meters (164 ft).
