Glass Bot

The Glass Bot revolutionizes the removal of automotive glass - enabling one person, working alone, to safely and efficiently remove a car's windscreen.

Ever since the dawn of the automobile age amateur mechanics have been fixing up cars for much less than the cost of any professional repair shop or auto garage; and in many cases these repairs are of the exact same quality that would one expect from a professional mechanic. One job that few amateur mechanics are able to offer, however, is auto glass repair and replacement – that is, until they purchase a Glass Bot for their very own garage. And in fact, after seeing the Glass Bot in action, many professional auto glass repair and replacement shops have picked one up for themselves, as well.
What Is The Glass Bot?

In short, the Glass Bot is an innovative tool that makes the removal of auto glass simple and easy. It can be used by both amateur and professional mechanics alike in order to make quick work of a glass replacement job, and the best part of all – it won’t cost you a fortune like some of the other tools that are on the market today.
How Does The Glass Bot Work?

The Glass Bot is attached to the interior of a front windshield, and a High Tensile Strength (HTS) wire is connected and placed around the edge of the glass and underneath any trim or moldings. After the HTS wire is wrapped around an anchor post, you are ready to begin cutting. This results in a fast, damage-free job that can be completed out of nearly any home garage. If you’re still not convinced about the usefulness of the Glass Bot, consider these following points.
The Glass Bot saves time!

With the Glass Bot there will be no need to take your vehicle to a shop or a garage, and you won’t even have to wait for a vehicle glass repair company to show up at your door, either. Instead, you can finish your auto glass repair job quick and easy with the Glass Bot. And professional shops can even benefit from the ease-of-use seen in the Glass Bot, as well.
The Glass Bot saves money!

With the Glass Bot you can forget about service and installation fees, or towing fees to get your vehicle to a shop. And because the Glass Bot is so inexpensive, it will pay for itself in just a few applications.
The Glass Bot allows you to help friends and family members!

If you know your way around the engine of a car, you’re probably called upon quite a bit by friends and relatives to perform small repair jobs. With the Glass Bot you’ll be able to expand on the repair services you can provide from your very own home garage, and maybe even make a few extra dollars in the process.

“From the AGR standpoint, we are finding that the newer designed vehicles have limited access, (**Diminished Site Lines), making it impossible to use traditional glass removal tools, which if used in such cases would cause a great deal of damage to the vehicle. These particular types of vehicle designs are becoming the norm in the industry and will soon involve most vehicles in the near future.
** “Diminished Site Lines” pertains to the fact that all vehicle manufacturers are asking glass manufacturers to reduce vehicle sightlines as much as possible in regards to glass fit in the vehicles body opening. This means eliminating the gap between the edge of the glass and the body opening, as well as having the edge of the glass visible eliminating the use of reveal mouldings. Soon vehicles will have a diminished gap about the width of a credit card between the glass and the body on most vehicles. Only the Glass Bot™ can be used for safe glass removal on vehicles of this nature."

The guys in the shop were asking me why I was taking it on a mobile job to cut out, and try to save a DW1217GBY. And I did just that, No Problem! We have had a case were we had to remove a windshield for warranty and the supplier was happy to receive thier windshield back with no breaks in it. The Glass-Bot cuts the glass out and does not cause any damage to the glass. You will not use this tool on every job, but jobs with exposed pinch welds are no worry any more! Thanks Glass-Bot.
